During a short residency, I am invited to use a garden shed—London, Shed—installed in a London loft as a study case. Based on a verbal description, without having seen the place, I try to understand its dimensions. In order to familiarize myself with this shed, I draw it, imagining its measurements and its presence in the domestic space. Through repetition, the déjà vu—the known—intersects with the never-before-seen, allowing this mental object to emerge and transform.

Lors d’une courte résidence, je suis invitée à prendre pour objet d’étude une cabane de jardin — London, Shed — installée dans un loft de Londres. D’après une description orale, sans avoir vu ce lieu, j'essaie de comprendre ses volumes. Afin de se familiariser avec cette cabane, je la dessine, j'imagine ses mesures, sa présence dans l’espace domestique. Par la répétition se croisent le déjà-vu — le connu — et le jamais-vu permettant le surgissement et la transformation de cet objet mental.
